Ingredients:
For the Patty:
500g (1 lb) ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
½ tsp onion powder (optional)
4 burger buns
4 slices cheddar cheese
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices
Red onion slices
Pickles
Ketchup, mustard, or mayo (your choice)
Instructions:
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions.
Gently shape each into a patty about the size of your buns (don’t overwork the meat).
Season both sides with salt, pepper, and optional garlic/onion powder.
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Cook patties for about 3–4 minutes on each side for medium, flipping once.
Add a slice of cheese on top during the last minute to melt.
Toast the Buns:
Lightly butter the buns and toast on a pan or grill until golden brown.
Assemble the Burger:
Start with the bottom bun.
Add lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato, onion, pickles.
Add your favorite sauce(s).
